In 1976 George Martin wanted to update the sound of certain early Beatles tracks and some of the later songs as well. A lot of folks, The Beatles included, were against somebody messing with the original mixes.
Now, many years later, upon listening to these versions really loud you can't beat the artristry of these mixes. And don't forget, it's stereo!
