Found another tape with "The Fool" recordings from Cipollina's archives on Guitars101 - it has track 15 from here in the same (or similar) stereo mix, but free of digital noise, and without tape dropouts too!!! really invaluable, because IMO the final part is the most accomplished / finished from them all, a masterwork, and to hear it buried under the ebb tide of diginoise was unbearable. There are also other renditions of "The Fool", I think the same as here on JC #80, but in mono - luckily, the best-ever part was preserved in stereo! I heartily recommend this newer tape (spent a lot of time 10 years ago manually declicking "The Fool" tapes from JC #80, esp. track 15, and almost got that track to the best-that-I-can-do condition, but it just sounds better on the newer tape, a pity it wasn't available till just recently. Guess I have to finish declicking the rest of "The Fool" someday).
