Could you identify recordings that are MP3 sourced? For example, AFAIK, the Beach Boys's Life's A Beach series was only available in MP3. I suspect some of the Byrds recordings from ROCKING-BYRD are also. I ask just so I can keep an eye out for lossless versions. You might consider keeping such recordings in mp3 since conversion to flac won't imnporve the quality or size.

I got Life's A Beach series from the guy who made it (and still making it), so this is the best version available and it would be futile looking for "better" versions. I don't know about the Byrds, I even don't remember how I got it, but I never knowingly take MP3 of the lossless version of anything for further use.
