I wonder what people really think about that. I think that it's a tedious effort, the whole bunch of "basement tracks" are just too many and most of them aren't really good.

Well, I could go on about this stuff all day - I think it is brilliant music, but made in a casual, not a polished way. It has the depth of a long stretch of musical history embedded in it, set in the context of musicians simply enjoying each other's company. Sure, some of it is weak, but the overall vibe is fantastic - as real as the day is long.
