Mastersound half-speed vinyl, which was released in 1981, was actually sourced from the pre-sped up version of the album, making for quite a different listening experience. The vocals are more nuanced, particularly with the cadences at the end of each line, the acoustic guitar sounds fuller, the whole ambience is spacier, the bass is plump and full, it all sounds less scratchy and spiky.
