How to Download

To download from rapidshare there are two ways.

1. As a free user - which has time limits. 2. Or as a premium user - for which you need to buy an account and can then do multiple downloads up to 5gbs per day, more at happy hours.

Now, either as a free user OR a premium user you copy one line and paste it in your browser. It takes you to the rapidshare page, you follow what it says and you download it. Very simple.

If you are a premium user you can download multiple files at once the same way - copy and paste into your browser one line at a time. Depending on your speeds you can do as many as you like, but the more you download the slower your speed will be. I used to do 2 at once.

When you copy and paste a block of links to your browser it will not work.
As a free user you cannot download multiple files at once.

To download multiple files at once you need a program like rapidshare manager, jdownloader, freeRapiddownloader or Flashget, which will take that group of links and download them for you. If you don't use a program, or don't want to get one the only way to do it is in your browser, copying and pasting one line at a time.




How to Unzip-Unrar

You will need a program to unzip/unrar files. There are many out there. Winzip, Winrar, 7zip, etc. All are good.

So let us say you have this:

Apart1.rar
Apart2.rar
Apart3.rar

You unrar part 1 and it cylces through and combines all three parts into your single file - which is A.

You do not need then to click on Apart2 and unrar that as you already have your complete file.

So in this case:

You unrare part 1, it cycles through all 8 and you get your complete file. Delete those 8 files. You do not need them anymore. You do not need to unrar part 2 or 3 or 8, as it has already done so for you.

The same goes for the next set, and all the sets. Download them completely. Unrar part 1, it will cycle through, you will get your file. Erase those links - keep your file.

How to Convert FLAC/SHN Files and burn to CDR

If you are into lossless music, you should already know how to do this. But for all the new people here is a quick explanation.

There are many converting programs out there. The easiest one, and all-around tool for lossless music is Traders Little Helper http://tlh.easytree.org/. Open it up and convert your files to WAV and burn with whatever program you like - Roxio, Nero, whatever.

I suggest usng WINRAR over WINZIP as when some files have quotes like in Cream Ulysses show for a track one WINZIP will not unzip but WINRAR unzipped "track one" and took out " " and made the file track one and unzipped it just fine.

Also I use Rapidshare Manager and can load up as many rar files from as many shows as I want and load them all. Then Rapidshare Manager can download up to five rar's at once and will cycle through everything you loaded and be done for all shows when you come back. I also use a premium account as well. I set the download speed to MAX and download setting to 5.

I recommend a premium account as it makes downloading so easy once set up it will cycle through all shows you have copied the rar's from added them to Rapidshare Manager by pressing add then paste into upeer box, press take them, then press download and you are ready to add another entire show into the quoe.

In this way you can set up Rapidshare Manager to download everything, walk away and then they all download very easy and fast.
